How to add IP cameras to Hikvision NVR (Through web interface)?

Why IPC is not working when plugged into NVR?
Firstly, check the status light of the NVR camera port, the green light should be blinking, and yellow light is solid. IP camera has its own username and password, and different brands have different protocol between their IP camera and NVR, only supported brand and correct password can make the cameras support plug-and-play.
How to reset IP camera password?
- For Y series IPCs, we have reset tool for Windows PC, please contact support team for help.
- For Hikvision IPCs, please check the Reset Manual for more details.

Why can't I see my IPC in the network?
First you need to make sure you're using the correct search tool for the IPCs:
- Hikvision cameras use SADP tool
- Y series cameras use IP Search Tool
Then you need to make sure the PC is in the same network as the IPCs
- 1. If IPC is plugged into NVR camera port directly, you need to connect your PC into the NVR camera port too.
- 2. If IPC is plugged into a POE switch, you need to connect your PC into the same network as the POE switch. WiFi connection will also work if the POE is connected to a router.
